MARC UNGER brings over 30 years of experience to his work as writer, national headlining comedian, actor and filmmaker.
His television credits include a recurring role as a reporter on the Emmy award winning HBO series “VEEP” where he has had the opportunity to share the screen with Julia Louise Dreyfus, Matt Walsh and other principle cast members. Most recently, Marc co-created, writes and stars in the award winning hit series “Thespian” which has received overwhelmingly positive reviews and has a 8+ rating on IMDB.
John Turnbull

I started playing sports sim games in the late 70s, cutting my teeth on SI Superstar Baseball and Statis Pro Baseball before adding Sher-Co Grand Slam Baseball in the 80s.
With the beginning of the computer era, I started with Earl Weaver Baseball before finding my way to PTP/Diamon Mind Baseball, Action PC and OOTP.
I’ve been involved with Seasons Past Baseball, set of Diamond Mind head to head draft leagues since 1992. I’ve also created several quick play games under the “Powder Blue Sports” umbrella.
For the documentary, my primary responsibilities will be running the website, handling emails and several other behind the scenes communication efforts.

Born and raised in Rochester N.Y, I was recruited by the University of South Carolina as a quarterback but never really moved beyond “clipboard holder”.
In fact, I was so buried in the depth chart, you needed sonar to find me. Still, I fell in love with the area and have lived there ever since. I’ve got four great kids, an amazing wife and at various times have coached football, baseball, basketball and golf.
My love of sports and sports gaming began in Rochester where I became, and continue to be, a huge Red Sox fan. I would set up whiffle ball tournaments in my backyard and play out the games solo with stacks of notebooks nearby to write down lineups and keep stats.
Eventually, I found my way to Strat Baseball as well as other sports sim games but it wasn’t until I found Ron Juckett’s YouTube channel that I knew I was part of this wonderful tribe.

After running the usual mid-’70s gamut – Avalon Hill wargames, Paydirt! and Cadaco football – I happened across “the ad” in the Street and Smiths NFL annual. When that first set of APBA Football arrived at my door in Central Florida in summer 1979, it even smelled like science! Now, having navigated several phases of my stats-based sports game journey, I’ve traversed a landscape of gaming I’d not imagined – including creating the first-ever cards-and-dice sports game tournaments at the pro football and baseball halls of fame. A lifetime putting out daily newspapers and monthly technical publications certainly set the stage for the “content creation” phase of my journey when I launched the first social “network” dedicated exclusively to APBA Football. Wielding Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and a Wordpress blog, we’ve been a small part of the story of the progress of tabletop sports gaming in the 21st century.

I started playing in 1970 with the game called Gil Hodges Pennant Fever. Other games played in that time period included Fran Tarkenton Football, Sports Illustrated games and later on in the 70's Longball.
Fast forward to today, I am a collector of tabletop games including vintage Time Travel Baseball and APBA Horse Racing to name a few.
My go-to would be History Maker Baseball with over 1,000 games played to date since 2023.
I have worked with Dave Gardner as the Co-host of the Digital to Dice convention in Connecticut.

Some of the big sporting events that I have attended in person includes the Super Bowl, featuring the New York Giants and Buffalo Bills, and the 1978 Yankees and Redsox "f***ing" Buck Dent game.
